Although these different kinds of managers could benefit from having experience and/or educational training in their particular area of business, most business managers need to have a college degree and some prior work experience. Business Management Education Requirements.
Many business managers need to hold at least a bachelor’s degree. However, in many fields of business, a master’s degree may be preferred for management positions. Business managers may pursue a business degree in their particular area of interest, such as finance, marketing, or accounting. There are also broader degree programs available for aspiring managers in administration and management that focus on leadership, administration, and management skills. Undergraduate Business Administration Degree.
At the undergraduate level, students can choose from bachelor’s degree programs in business administration or business management. These programs are often available online and some may offer additional concentration areas, such as marketing, sports management, accounting, and management. In place of different specializations, these programs focus solely on business management.
